It is often called the BEST display in Oakland.

This is a display of 250-300 large lighted figures along with string, path, specialty lights, lighted ornaments and stars (led and incandescent). No inflatables, no music. It is lit from Thanksgiving thru January 6th from 4pm to midnight.

It is a one-woman effort and regularly draws rave reviews and many visitors. Some children visit every day.

The display is divided into two section: The Candy Cane Forest and the Rejoice section.

The “Candy Cane Forest” includes a large tree that is growing candy canes (40-50 canes are in the tree) Also in the tree is a flying pig, a climbing sloth, 2 owls along with numerous stars and ornaments. The tree is surrounded by a candy cane forest with over sixty lighted canes (3 ft- 6ft). Inhabiting the forest are more than 150 animals. This includes: a spouting whale, giraffe, several polar bears, the lion king, dancing pigs, sea otters, river otters, octopus, fox, raccoon, dancing ostrich, dog sled team with 6 huskies, mermaid, high heel filled with gifts, big fish, mice, elephant, hippo, porcupine, ice skates, flamingo, several deer, elk, moose, crab, poodle, many cats and dogs, teddy bears, horses, hedgehog, several penguins 50+ gift lighted packages. Protecting the candy cane forest are 5 ft lighters soldiers, frog prince and lion guard, along with more dogs.Approaching the forest is Noah’s Ark.

The “Rejoice” section includes: Nativity scene, 3 wise men, 7 angels, 2 shepherds, 6 sheep, 2 camels, 2 cows, 2 donkeys, 12 doves, 7 chickens, 2 llamas, 2 squirrels, 1 unicorn, 4 owls, 1 ballerina, 1 flying reindeer, 1 angel on rooftop, 3 peacocks, numerous stars and bows, large ornaments in trees, laser lights and more.
